Im really battling ...i have also doped myself a bit to keep myself from going over the top .. im seeing the pdoc tomorrow....

My hubby and my best friend have me on a tight leash per my instructions ....but I also know myself well enough that when im looking to "pick" a fight ..im in trouble ....

Its odd that I have only now realised that my aggressive irritable behaviour is part of bipolar .. I always thought it was only happy hyper people that got depressed .... jeepers .. I seem to have the full spectrum of mood swings waaay down , waay up .. waay aggressive ...... sheesh... typical cant do anything in half measures ...... eyes

It would seem so Katy ..... I get annoyed about something , and then work myself into a frenzy and then become verbally aggressive and downright hostile and horrible.

Hang in there...just remember you are just starting with all the meds and everything, it might be a while before everything is regulated.  But you should be proud of yourself that you are cognisent of what is happening.

Carolsclan,

Hang in there, you're doing the right thing. It's also great that you have a great support system. I hope your appointment goes great. Please let us know how it goes.

Hi Carolsclan,

It was very good that you were able to catch/notice the changes in yourself and notified your supporters to watch  you. That is a huge step to be able to see it in yourself.

It took me a long time. My family had to keep pointing things out to me before I realized that I was being too loud, talking too fast, getting too angry, getting too "high" with my moods. After a lot of work I am able to catch myself. But I do still have my days. Today, my hubby had to tell me, "You're getting too upset & loud for this situation" and "you seem to be more irritable lately".

I'm glad you went to your pdoc today. Do you mind sharing what new plan of action was made? I'm sure many are wondering how it went for you.

Keep us posted!
