Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that this week my presence on the board may be a little more sporadic than usual.  I probably will only get to check in once a day and I may not have time for lengthy responses.  I'm in St. Louis with family and I have access to computers, I'm just -- well -- on vacation.  I promise I'm still thinking of you all.

And I'm back. We had a great time and did lots of really cool things with my daughter and in-laws: the zoo, the botanical garden, parks, we took Rosa to a live performance of Peter & the Wolf with dancers -- which she loved. DH and I had dinner with friends all by ourselves one night, that was exciting, and we saw a movie another night. It was dizzying. So a fairly domestic vacation, all in all, but nice all the same. Now I'll be around more again though, so start talkin'.

ah, yes, St. Louis. Spent a week there one afternoon. maybe just bad karma. i was born there and ran away as soon as i could (i think i was about 18)

glad that you had a good time, though. my only surviving extended family is there. maybe i'll get over my karmic whatever and get there one of these millinea. :) and you didn't see the famous arch? look east and see the old stockyards of e. st. louis. :) (old St. Louis "in" joke)

I saw the arch once years ago. I'm claustrophobic, so it was a one time dealy, getting me into those tiny egg capsules to go up the arch. And they don't tell you it SWAYS! It's very pretty. I'll just look at it from outside.

I thought the "in" joke of St. Louis was to ask what high school you went to.

serafena,

that was (probably) long before you were born :). and, yes, it was a joke.
