Anyone heard of or found success with a homeopathic remedy for BP illness?

It is amazing how medications can have a positive effect for many people, even though the side effects are not good, and they could cause organ damage.

Also, food additives have been linked to ADHD and other disruptive behaviors in children as a recent Lanclet article report meaning what we eat can affect mood in addition to environmental situations: family, work, etc

I imaging caffine and too much sugar as well sleep problems all might contribute to a short fuse. Chronic pain too?

Do many of you drink coffee or notice a difference when you do?

BPa,

I used to drink too much caffeine that you don't even want to know. I used staying up late as an excuse sometimes, but once you start having more than the recommended dose your body craves more. I officially stopped drinking caffeine last month, so far so good.

Sugar was another issue, but since I stopped drinking so much caffeine I don't eat as much sugar either. I guess sometimes when we don't have one thing we tend to substitute another.

There are people on this board that have 1 or two cups of coffee a day and it works for them. Caffeine is not a bad thing unless abused, same goes with sugar.

I've always had sleep problems before and after the caffeine issues, do now I try to relax and not think too much before sleep. That tends to keep me up for hours.

If you hang on a short while, there will be more people to post about what help them soon.

BPa,

when i was able to work i regularly consumes about a gallon of coffee a day.  it kept "the little grey cells" active - or something.  in the winter of 1972, in the middle of an ice storm, i got pains on the right side of my abdomen and i immediately thought "appendix."  my wife (sometimes she's almost as crazy as me) drove me to the er.  after thorough x-rays and a gi series, they determined that i has caffeine poisioning!  never heard of it!  at any rate, mo colas, coffee, tea, etc. for a year.  cut my right arm off, why don't you!

but i survived and prospered. and you will you.

for homeopathic treatment of BP, you might want to try the Bach flower remedies "Rescue" formula.  i used that when i lived in England, long before my diagnosis, and it pretty well kept me "grounded."  i have no idea where or if you can get this homeopathic remedy in the States.

hope this helps - at least a little.

Well, it just so happens, I have a spritzer of rescue remedy someone gave me in my baby gift basket. (smells of lavender and something else) As usual little one (3 mo old) was fussing because she was tired. I spritzed some and she settled down pretty much immediately :)

Are kids easier to raise than BP adults? Kids score 1 point.

I wonder how DH will act when during the next outburst I start running around the room spritzing. It seems funny to me to picture :)

I'm imagining my husband spritzing me with rescue remedy. It's pretty funny.
