I was diagnosed with bipolar in 2000 and just recently noticed all the new diagnosed Hollywood stars as if it is a new trend.  I am worried that some people will use this diagnoses as an excuse for their actions or cause some to become desensitied to the true diagnosed patients.  Maybe I am over reacting but I have really notice some saying he or she is bipolar that is why they are a *****.  Does anyone else feel this way?

I think it's a legitimate question, maggie. Anyone watching Britney have her meltdown can't think that kind of psychosis is fun, or just a matter of having a bad day, or being a woman with an attitude problem. Who knows what people think, though? There is a traditional link between creative personalities and bipolar disorder.
