Welcome to HealingWell. I hope you can find some answers here. It sounds like you're having a terrible time with the mood swings and your meds aren't really helping. You've got to be bold and let the doctor know as soon as you can. Bipolar is only partly like depression -- when one is depressed. The other half of bipolar -- mania -- is nothing like depression. However, you mentioned you've been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and sometimes that jerky, anxious, angry energy is a kind of mania called hypomania and so you might ask your doctor to evaluate you for bipolar II. As I told warped reality, anti-depressants can actually make mania worse, so if you're feeling anxious and you feel like it's just getting worse, that might be a sign for your doctor. Bottom line, call your doctor. Tell him your worry outright and let him evaluate you for bipolar. It's better than wondering.
