What is it like to be me?

What is it like to be me?

One minute feeling nothing inside

Then on a constant roller coaster ride.

What is it like to be me?

One day feeling all emotions,

The next, just going through the motions.

What is it like to be me?

Feeling happy and sad,

Then angry and glad.

What is it like to be me?

To feel really happy,

Then nothing more than crappy.

What is it like to be me?

Why can’t anyone see,

I never know how I will be?

What is it like to be me?

Feeling that everything is so real,

Then not being able to feel.

So what is it like to be me?

I hope you never have to go,

Down into this hell hole!

Twisted,

We bipolars can totally understand that~!

Another poet~! Keep writing, it feels better sometimes when we can put it down on paper. Thanks for sharing it with us! (((HUGS)))

I am glad that you like it.  I try to write when the mood strikes me.  I am working on another one also.  I just happen to be in a down cycle now.

Thank you for sharing with us, Twisted! I can totally relate, of course, which is always a kind of relief. I write also and it's a real benefit to be able to take out some of my frustrations on harmless pieces of paper. :-)

twisted,

you write well.  fom my own experience i know that poetry can be hard - i wrote total drivel.  this poem concentrates a great deal of meaning.  WELL DONE GIRL!

I can really relate. It is refreshing to see someone who can put how I feel to paper better than I can. I write poetry too. But I am not comfortable sharing it sometimes. Good job. Keep writing and sharing.
