When a label says TAKE WITH A FULL GLASS OF WATER, do they actually mean water, or will any liquid suffice?

Also, anyone taking fish oil supplements and noticing any help with it?

Well I do know not to take meds with any hot liquid like tea or coffee. It will dissolve too quickly like in your esophagus and can cause stomach upset or heartburn.

Good question about the fish oil. I think I read somewhere that for bipolar it really doesn't do much. I'll try to find the article.

there was a thread earlier about a supplement that DOES seem to help bipolar, http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=13&m=1183084

Thanks both.

I can't stand water, I take everything with pepsi or iced tea.

about these fish oil pills, I've been taking them for about a week, if they're not going to help I'd just as soon not be tasting that fish taste that I'm getting from them.

Will read the article.

My weight is good, in fact, I probably should gain a few pounds. I can handle pellegrino or perrier with the bubbles but flat water makes me gag.

I probably should drink more water but I eat very healthy otherwise, so I think, "well, you're breaking even here".

mmm to mommy who mentioned coffee, think I'll grab some now.

I finally got a refrigerator with the ice and water in the door. I play with it so much I probably drink 2-3 gallons a day.

Even if you don't like water, this thing is so much fun to play with you'll get a taste for it.

You know what I need? One of those drink guns that they have at bars. If I could shoot water into a glass I think it might be more appealing.

Maybe a straw would help.

The fridge water dispenser sounds fun. I'd shoot ice cubes all over the place and watch the animals slide across the floor!

This sounds strange, but of all people, I have seen Rocky Horror.

i saw it on halloween at this AMAZING theater in this amazing district in the city... people dress up like the characters and everyone in the audience does the time warp. and they have people on stage acting it out as the movie is playing. it's quite an experience =)

that used to be my mom's favorite movie, back when she had half of her head shaved and the other half dyed pink or something...

is that odd?

I used to play Dr. Scott in one of those stage productions, Little b. You should see me dance in a wheelchair with nothing but fishnets and stillettos. I'm the master!

lemonade is a great suggestion. I even like water with tons of lemons in it without sugar. I thought for some reason that citrus interfered with absorption of meds but if not I'm all over it.

I've heard grapefruit could interfere with some meds, but never anything about oranges or lemons. If you're concerned you can always check with your pharmacist.
