Oh that's terrible. How sad that she has such strict rules. Is there another Red Hat group in the area that perhaps is less strict? My understanding is that Red Hat is for women of a certain age, no? Well you must not be the only one with medical issues that get in the way of meeting 2-3 times a month. That seems like a high expectation. I couldn't make that many meetings either. I'm sorry that you'll be leaving your friends behind. I assume you exchanged phone numbers, etc.?

Hi Caren,

I'm sorry to hear about the strict rules. I agree with serafena, that really is rigid and I think she should take yours and others medical conditions in consideration. Does she know about how bipolar affects you? Maybe she might be more understanding if she knew why you were missing the meetings?

I hope things work out for you. I agree with serafena's suggestion for gathering phone #'s so that you can still keep in contact with your friends and plan your own outings if the Red Hat club won't take your issue under consideration.

Good Luck!
