Dh is not very happy. I thought I was watching my speed but apparently I wasn't. Here in Qatar the police don't stop you for speeding. they have radar and send you a text message when you get a ticket. Apparently it was a hidden radar somewhere and I was about 10 miles over the speed limit. Dh is getting really irritated with me and upset about my tickets and accidents. I can't really blame him either though. I also saw my pdoc today and she thinks I shouldn't drive anymore but we don't really have a choice. If I don't drive the kids don't go to school. I wish we could send them on the bus but they are in a private school and it costs money. so we can't afford it. It just really sucks.

It's amazing that I never received tickets when my mood was up. I am sorry you are going through a rough time. Hypomania is a tough place to be, where your judgment is impaired but not as bad as being manic. So you think things are okay when they are not. Hang in there and big (((hugs))) from the US.

Okay girl, when are you going back to the pdoc? I'm starting to get concerned. 10 miles over the speed limit isn't really a big deal, but it's not the first thing recently. Try to remember you're hypomanic -- that is, be conscious of it and remind yourself of it when you leave the house. Drive more carefully and interact with people more gently. (((Hugs))) I hate tickets.

I saw the pdoc yesterday morning. She has taken me off of zoloft. she is worried that it was making me hypomanic. So we will see how that goes.  She also wants me to increase my abilify but I can't do that until dh gets paid in two weeks.  It is just so expensive.  Thank you for your concern, I really appreciate it.

Even though 10 miles over the speed limit isn't a big deal, maybe you can think about your kids' safety and make that a motivating factor to watch your speed.  The lower your speed should you have an accident, the less the chance of injury to the occupants.  And put a big yellow sticky in the middle of the steering wheel that says "DON'T SPEED", and tape it on!
