I did not read all the instructions before I posted on "What does BP feel like?"  Oops.  I am so manic most of the time my mind is already two hours ahead of my body.  My family is supportive but my husband does not like to discuss my problem, it makes him uncomfortable simply because he loves me and does not WANT anything to be wrong with me, but he has known for a long time.
I thought maybe it would be good for me to connect with people with like issues since I do not have any close friends.  Probably because when I get home from work on Fridays, I make sure I have everything I need to get through the week-end so I do not have to leave the house until Monday morning.
I really just need someone to talk to.
I am told I do not have a great sense of humor, but how ironic that my zodiac sign is Gemini (the twins) and I am bipolar. ha ha

Hi BP Gemini,

Welcome to HealingWell and to the BP board. You're in good company here. Thank you for writing your story on the other thread. This is an excellent place to meet and talk to other bipolars and to their spouses and significant others too. Hope you like it, and we're happy to have someone who joins right in!

Dear Gemini: I am in a familar situation. I care for my 73 yr. old dad who has alzheimers, with absolutely no assistance from my brother or sister, sister actually came and took Dad away during the summer, against his will and mine. I'm his fulltime primary caregiver with Power of Attorney, so sis simply was informed by police, she would need my permission to take him anywhere. I am also BiPolar, BiPolar II, so I don't get the manic highs just anxiety, irritability, annoyance, creepy crawly skin and discomfort. I am usually prescribed anti-anxiety meds for this and it was working well along with a large dose of anti-depressant, everyday. I also have Fibromyalgia, for which I take pain meds. So, the similarities regarding our mutual situation are apparent. My Dad doesn't think of how I'm doing, he just wants to go wherever he wants to go, whenever. He says we argue a lot but it's usually because he wants me to go someplace with him (drive him) no matter how I feel. I find this so upsetting. OK, pardon my rambling but welcome to the forum and get rambling.
