Hi Sheba1964!  Welcome!   New to this site myself and so glad I found it.  You are right about finding the right med. combo, it took me almost two years, and I think BP people are harder on themselves than anyone else.  Well, enjoy, will be talking to you soon.

Hi BP Gemini-thanks for your welcome.
Yes you are so right-BP people to tend to be hard on themselves-I know I used to be ,& still have to get reminded at times, lol
It's one of the things I have been able to keep in my head from my counsiling-to be gentle on myself.
And to monitor my self talk,& I found that I used to beat myself up,for things to had turned bad in my life.
I had huge dissappoint ment from my failed marriage, among other things,& I think it just all finally errupted as I had tried to just bottle it all up-I think it was the suppressing it,that created the erruption of blackness in the end.
But I got good help from my G>P>--& with some time & councilling managed to eventually get on top of things again.I have since found I still need to constantly manage my self-esteem,with practical ways,to remind myself that I am a good person,& that there is no-one else the same as me-GOD DOSEN'T MAKE JUNK....Have an awesome day,all you very cool people.

Fast1tochase-It always takes experimentation,to find the right meds for an individual-your doc takes a calculated guess & is in Hope that his suggestions work for you. However, even they need your constant feed-back to the results you are getting,& will make adjustments accordingly.
I'm from New Zealand & the name of the drugs are different over here.
Please keep your doc informed regulary,& seek thier advice,if having any problems.-Sometimes it takes a few weeks for meds to settle in your system-but don't tough it thru,if you are experiencing bad effects, phone & chat with the doc,you don't always need to go in ,in person.Sometimes a phone call can be enough-tough suffer alone, please keep us posted too.---Remember you are cool groovy people, even when you don't feel that -yourself.....Love ya's Sheba.

I think you're the first New Zealander I've encountered on the board, sheba. That's very cool. You're a very positive force -- I'm glad you're here.

Hello Sheba,

Hope you are having a "balanced" day.  My new meds were bad yesterday and good today.  I guess this is the course we have to follow to find the right combo.  Just wanted to check in and let you know there is someone else out there who knows those crazy BP feelings and glad we both found this great forum! smilewinkgrin

Cheers BP Gemini-I am good most days thanks-but still do have days when you feel flat,& not quite so positive, but I think any person has those.I think we are a constant work in progress,& that we have to self manage in the sense of keeping our selves positive, even when we don't feel like it.
Yes those days of new meds can be very confusing,I'm hopeing for you ,its just your body getting used to new chemicals,& things will become more consistant with time..
Remember the little things,to help keep you up,cute puppies,& fluffy Kittens, things that melt our hearts,& keep us focused on the BEAUTIFUL in life.
Have an awesome day-& smile & laugh at yourself for your unique qualities.Sometimes I think we get caught up in the BEING TOO SERIOUS,with our self examining sometimes. So I think we need to remember to give ourselves some time out from that sometimes, lol.
