Hi everyone-

The weirdest thing has been happening to me lately. I have been experiencing head spasms for about 2 weeks. They started out of no where and the best way I can describe it is as a slight ticking movement. I haven't changed any of my meds, but the last two months have been bad for me in terms of stress. My son was in the hospital twice and we found out he has asthma (he's 19months). Then my husband got sick and last week I had bronichitis, then the stomach flu on top of a sinus infection. I ended up in the ER for fluids. Now meanwhile I'm in grad school full time and have to do this practicum twice a week. I've ended up back to the doctor twice and he said its all part of stress. I also have hand tremors that I've had all my life, which do get worse with stress....its just never been in my head.  He still wants me to see a nurologist just in case, but pretty sure its stress related.

Has anyone dealt with this before?

Wow Zolie, that's new to me. Maybe someone else will have something more useful to say, but I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time. Hang in there.

I had head twitches, then they moved to my arms and finally stopped once I stopped the medication I was on.  Lithium did this to me once I reached theaputic dosage.  At one point I was on Thorizine for only two days and it started all over again but worse!  Stayed off all meds for 2-3 months after that and did ok but as all BP's know, that does not last and I really got into trouble with mania and rapid cycling.  Just started Trileptal and so far so good.  I hope this great feeling of calmness last with no side effects, 150 mg twice a day.  You have had alot of stress but it could be meds.  It seems illogical that a med. will work good for you for a while and then "bam" no more.  Oh well, hope you feel better soon.  Sounds like you are juggling alot.  My kids are almost grown so it is easier for me now to juggle less which in turn helps with my dis-ease.

Hi there Zolie: That previous reply was from windows vista. This is the real reply. I had the weirdest sensation at about 4:30 AM, today. It was about a minute long tickling feeling like a silk stocking was being gently wrapped around my right leg. Kind of a slithering feeling. Then I felt a migraine coming on and took half of a zomig. about an hour later, I felt hot and cold flashes and a damp clamy feeling. My meds have been being changed drastically, and I'm under tremendous stress, as are you. I attribute it to a combination of meds being "tinkered with", and unusually high  levels of stress (about three weeks of calamity after clamity, like yourself. I have to take another half day as a "down day". I did so yesterday. I got up in AM and did bare essentials. Then lay down. Got up to fix Dad a lunch, then lay down. Finally around 2 PM, I got up and did some real work. Fixing up our old house to sell, or whatever. The migraine headache trying to get a foothold has been going on for almost a week.

Hi ZolsCody!

I feel for you so much. I don't get head twitches but pressure behind the neck. I am sure it is stress. With or without meds I can get it.
My hands shake when anxious and stessed. I can't do anything about it..so I know how you feel. Some of that for many is a side effect from meds.
