Well, my husband was discharged yesterday and is now staying at his parents until he can get into residental treatment.  He feels refreshed he says and a lot more able to handle things.  The bad thoughts he was having about hurting us don't creep into his head and if they start to  he's learned to push them out.  HURRAY! yeah

Don't get me wrong, I know we have a long road ahead of us but already he's sounding better and more hopeful about treatment.  He came for a quick visit today to get some more stuff to take to his parents but we're respecting each others' boundaries.  He's respecting what makes me uncomfortable and I'm respecting his need to be away from us right now so he can get help.  I'm not being clingy or co-dependant... even though I want to make him stay so bad!!!

we even managed to squeeze in a quickie before I had to pick up the boys! turn tee hee!!!

From the moment i loved you, I wanted to share my life with you
and from that moment to this moment and for the moments to come I will love you with all my heart.

Good news! I wish you both the best. It's a long process, but at least he's begun it. May you have your husband back again soon.

wink  Lucky!  A quickie sounds pretty good to me right now! blush
I am so glad that there is hope for you two and that he seems to be getting the proper treatment.  I am still in major limbo....nto sure when my husband will be discharged.

Was there any changes made to your hubby's meds?  Is that what brought about the stabilization?

Good luck!  Stay with us and keep us posted!  We are all rooting for you!

thanks everyone!

Falling - Yes they were adjusted. They are slowly cutting out the Celexa (so far has gone from 40mg to 20mg), and he's taking more Zyprexa (20mg) and they introduced Seroquel (not sure the dosage) as well. They seem to be working and he is being more vocal when he is feeling anxious so that we (everyone around him) can either back off or approach the topic differently. I think the best thing about the "quickie" is that not only did he initiate it but he said that he wanted to feel close to me again and that he'd missed me. Those words sounded like angels singing in my ears!

I am happy for the turn around and now we are just waiting to see which facility opens up first and he'll be gone again! He's still at his parents as we both agree that this is the best for now.
