Good Morning,
I have taken Vyvance for 2 days now.  My prescription is for 20mg.  The first day, I opened the capsule and dissolved half in water and drank it.  I felt kind of not focused for several hours of my work day, which is not going to work as a side effect.  Yesterday, the second day, I took the whole capsule, 20 mg. and had terrific focus starting about 2 hours after I took the pill, I worked out.  But then had about 5-6 hours of anxiety, depression. I was somewhat focused, but kind of just "doing" accompanied with a feeling of I can't wait for this to get out of my system.
about a year ago, I tried Vyvance,  50 MG. in the middle of the day, which gave me tremendous focus, but I could not sleep and I had major anxiety at night..........
Will this not work for Me?
Should I keep trying?
Will it help if I force myself to eat more?
Do side effects subside?

Hi Suntime1989,

Thanks for joining HealingWell and welcome to the bipolar board. I think you should keep at it for a few more days. Side effects like you describe can take a week or so to subside. If you were having major health complaints, I would say stop. But just mild malaise and sleeplessness should go away. If not, after a week or so, call your doc and see what he/she says.

Thank you kindly Serafina for your reply.  I will stick with it............Actually I am taking this medication for ADD, not Bipolar, but anyway I took 20 mg, dissolved in Water today, 2 hours after I had breakfast and it seemed better today.

I shall keep with it and pray for positive results.
