I just wanted to check in on everyone and see how things are going. Some of you where struggling since the last role call and I hope things are coming together for you. Please take your time to drop us a line and let us know how you're hanging in there.

Well I survived the most terrible week.  I had a psychotic break and took a mess of pills, shaved off my hair and lost 4-5 days of the week.  I am just now getting back into some kind of normal rythm.  My family did not know what to do so they just kept me up and even lost sleep doing it and got me through the week.  Our mental health care here is not very good so they were not sure what to do.  I still do not feel 75% but I am working hard to keep myself together.  I did not try to kill myself I just do not know what happened.  I think I felt it coming on over the last few weeks because I was cutting and coloring my hair several times and then I just flipped, and do not remember anything at all.  I just do not know what to do now?  Who do I contact how do I get started for help.  As I said I live in a different state now and before I knew what to do.  Any advise.

inertia,

hang in there, you can do it!

maggiern,

I am sorry that you've had such a rough week, I am glad that you are better now. If you feel your symptoms getting worse, I would go to your local emergency room and they will be able to provide you with help.

If not you can try find a local psychiatrist, if you are not sure how to get one. I would start by contacting your state's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene office to find out your options.
