My bp husband had to serve his jail time last week & weekend for his 2nd DWI, he had a work release. Ever since friday he has been very negative. He doesn't have his work permit yet, due to past fines that he has not paid for. So, I had to get up early, go pick him up from jail, take him to work, then pick him up from work then back to jail. Then get up and do it all over again! I had to commute 3 hours a day just for him! But he is the one you have to tip toe around, not to upset him! BUT even with the tip toeing around him, he is grumpy and with drawn! And like I said very negative! In the midst of this we are buying a house, and trying to pack, of course I am not packing enough per day, and I got questioned, more like grilled about what I did while he was in jail this past weekend! By no means was it a simple question of how was your weekend & what did you do! I am very stressed today, feeling very weak...But I know I can't be, I have NO time for that, I am the only one to hold the family together. Too many things to do, so little time!

I am so sorry he is being so hard on you! You know that sometimes you need to find a safe place to let go and not be strong for awhile. Do you have this? I hope so.

Kimberly,

I'm sorry your husband is so unstable at the moment. What is his treatment situation? And what is yours? You are taking care of some very high stress situations and could use some help for your own stress levels. Have you thought of therapy so that you're not as impacted by his moods?

Thank you both for your care & concern!  The nurse at the MHC that my husband goes to, recommended me a counselor there that deals with support for the spouse.  I made the appointment at the end of Feb., the first appt I could get into was April 29th!! I also call to see if she has any cancelations, with no luck! My husband & I started seeing a marriage counselor, we have gone 3 times so far. It has gone very well. But I really need the appt. by myself, for support for me!

Thank you,

Kimberly

His treatment well he is also WAITING to get into a different counselor, his other one was worthless! He is on Lamictal, Zyprexa & celexa, and a HTN med.
