Hi all!  My bp husband and I went to counseling today!  He kept griping about having to go and why did I have to go and isn't the therapy suppose to be for him and bla bla bla bla bla!!!  I was 10 minutes late because I was in charge of babysitting arrangements, but I showed up and it was such a GREAT session!!!!

When the therapist asked if he wanted to do individual counseling or marriage counseling, he said he wanted marriage counseling!!!  I still cannot believe it!  He is willing to work on our relationship and he is recognizing what a **** he's been to me lately and he is accepting the help we are both seeking out not only to deal with his bp, but our marriage!!!

I hope I don't jinx this whole therapy experience by sharing with you all, but I am so very hopeful!

Whyus,

That is great news indeed, I am happy for you and your husband. It is great that your husband is trying to work things out. Please keep us updated on how things are going.

Good for you whyus. Just keep in mind that this is just the beginning...and there will be days where he comes out of therapy feeling worse. Having to bring out all the buried crapola is very emotional. But I know you are in the right frame of mind to understand this. Sounds like you two are off to a wonderful new beginning!
