Ok, I finally got a doctors appointment today after calling a crisis hotline...First of all, I just had a baby and am not working, so my husbands income is the only one right now, therefore money is tight, which I completely undersnad since I'm the one who ha to go get groceries for all of us. Because of the money situation, my husband had to get off work, because we can not afford a baby sitter, which my husband was not happy about and complained about it for the past day and tried to see if I could reschedule the appointment. Even though I todl him that I either get in now or wait another month and things could possible get worse off for us and maybe next time I have an "episode" I WILL leave him for good. Ok, but so he got off work, so I could go to the appointment. At the appointment the doctor asks me all the normal things, "How are you feeling today, What is on your mind, How does that make you feel when that happens," etc. When I get out of the appointment I am then informed that I have a co-payment...ok, fine, I payed. When I told him I had to pay the doc he gave me this look that was kind of mean.....Well, if he wants me to get help, I have to pay the man! NO one works for free these days, that's just how it is, so sorry! I wish I could find someone to help me out with the baby sitting, doctors bills, etc. so that we can have a normal life together and not having me want to rip his head off, but that's just not the world we live in today! Sorry, but wow, I need to go running opr clean something!

I'm so sorry. That must have been really frustrating. If you can, try to find a calm time to sit down and have a heart to heart with him about how important it is that you get help. He's really not being supportive and he needs to understand why you need to get help. Ask him to help you find the money in your already squeezed-tight budget for co-pays, because they are necessary for your health. As will be your medications, if you get a prescription.

And how did the doc appt go?
