My doctor recently put me on birth control pills, well I called my nurse practitioner and he said okay but it may lower the lamictal in  my body. Well, since then, about a month ago, my mood has been worse. Has anyone had any experience with these BCPs? I am thinking about calling my NP for an adjustment. He will do this over the phone so I don't have to go in early. My appointment is not until next month.

The opposite problem is true as well. The Lamictal may decrease the effectiveness of your birth control. Definitely check with the NP.

Well, the BCPs are not for birth control but to regulate my cycle. So I wonder if it would interfer with that too? Do you know?
