Hi Nikki,

I am in the same boat.  I'm feeling the depression sinking in....and I am afraid.  What are you feeling?  Manic or depressed?  I will be checking in all day.  I am just doing some housework and laundry, so you are not alone.

Hi guys. Another low time for me here. The past few days i have just programmed my brain not to think about any problems. Whenever i remembered one i would just block my mind from it. I am feeling extremely low right now. i even miss my ex and today i couldn't stop thinking about him. i am upset because i have a strong feeling he has moved on. i try not to think about my school and family situation. i need to get out of my parent's house but i just feel lost. i dont know the first step. i am not eating. things are just low.

Hi Nikki,

I am so sorry that you are going through a rough time, is there someone you can talk to like a counselor/therapist? Sometimes it helps knowing that there is someone out there to talk your situation over with. I have been in a similar situation as you, not getting along with my parents and even living with them when all I wanted was out. It took me some time, but I learned to deal with them better. The problems didn't go away, but I got better coping skills to handle the situations better. I even moved out for over 5 years, but had to move back home from not having funds to my moods being really bad. Hang in there and know we are here for you if you need to talk.

I am not sure if you have insurance or not, but if you do not you can call your local hospital that has a behavior health unit to see if they may know of any clinics you can go to.  Or you can call your local welfare office, yes I know that may upset you to ask for help but you are worth it.  As for your family situation just keep to yourself and find a happy place to think of when you have those thoughts (yes I know that sounds strange, but it was tought to me by my Thearapist) I had to dig deep down to find that place but it may help in mean time.  Good luck.

Kali-Nikki,

You're under a great deal of stress right now, and while I normally would be all about moving out of a house where you're not being treated well by your family, you have a depression you're fighting and a fresh breakup to deal with too. Try to get some of your emotional life back in working order before you set off on new, stressful adventures. You'll need a job if you want to leave and live on your own. Do you have a job? Do you think you could handle a job right now?

Kali-Nikki...as others have said, do you have a therapist? In times like these it is important that you have an outlet...some unbiased ear to listen to what you need to get out.
