Hi Teddie bear,

Welcome to Healing Well and the bipolar board.

You're going to have to get a little more direct with your mom, which might be uncomfortable for you. You might have to push the issue. Tell her you're not feeling good, the mood swings are exhausting for you and you're tired of having them and you'd really like to go back to the doctor. Be as honest with the doc as you can about what the mood swings are like, when you swing, what happens when you swing, things like that.

Your mom might have other reasons for not taking you to the doc -- she might not have insurance, for instance, which makes going to the doctor very expensive. But there are still ways to see doctors and if you need to do some research, we can help you out.

Good luck to you and please feel free to keep coming back and letting us know how you're doing.
