I'm so confused one DR told me I have Major depression, another Bipolar II, and I just saw another one and she don't think its nether one but something different.... I'm on drugs that work well for me. I still feel like I need to know what I have.... I can't exp lane how I feel .... I feel out of control not knowing..... I wish Some one could agree on one disorder.... none are great but I have to be in control at all times and I'm not.... I go back and forth in my head... I'm depressed a lot of the time, but I get manic to..My mind I can't seem to turn off about this.... I went to the third one to find out but she came up with dysthymic disorder, would go along with bipolar......I want to know what I'm getting treated for....

it seems to me you have a lot of the same issues as me but i have had them for years and at times i can control it the best thing to do is take whatever meds work best and everyone who has bipolar always goes back and forth with thinking they are fine and then knowing that they have bipolar,, i was told i have the worse case of bipolar because my modes change all the time and they say i have tramma from when i was a child and a little of OCD because i am a clean freak well my story is below i hope i helped you!!
I have had bipolar since i was 14-16 not sure when it started i could of had it when I was born i was a wicked druggy when i was younger. don’t know if that’s the reason why my bipolar came out of or if it was because i was a teenager.. well i am 25 now and it keeps coming back i have been on and off meds my reg doctor that i see just found out i have bipolar like 3 years ago because i had a wicked melt down and since then he wont give me meds even for my asthma i just was wondering if you guys docs do they same thing? also i am having a wicked hard time finding a med doctor because the demon just came back again (meaning my bipolar) I have been off my meds for and 1-2 years and all of a sudden i broke down again.. finally i have realized that i need to stay on my meds.. I don’t know why i am even writing any of this on here i guess it just feels good to express how i feel to people that don’t know me..

One thing that helped me is when my therapist asked me this question: Does it really matter the diagnosis as long as the medicine makes you feel better? Ever since then I have been able to put to rest the question of whether or not I am bipolar. I used to say to myself, I know I am bipolar and other times say I can't be bipolar. You might want to go to some talk therapy or something like that to help you. It certainly has helped me. I love my therapist.

Learning2Deal & Q&A,

It might help if you keep a daily mood journal on what is going on with you, how you are feeling, what's taking place around you & your symptoms.

This may help the doctors to better understand what type of things are troublesome for you.

Yeah, I would like a proper diagnosis too before I start taking medications.

Best of luck.
