Okay... the pdoc has been changing around my meds...

I had found some relief when I started taking Abilify with Cymbalta but it was short-lived and I put on 30 pounds.

Now I am on Zoloft 300mg, for two weeks, Lamictal and supposed to start adding Welbutrin in a couple of days. I guess I am feeling a bit better but hoping my mood will be noticeably improved.

The problem I am having that I would like some advice with... eating. I have no appetite, and am constantly struggling trying to figure out what to eat. Nothing sounds appealing to me.

I have been eating cookies or graham crackers with milk as my breakfast/lunch. Then a little bit of whatever my husband is having for dinner. I'm losing the weight I gained with the Abilify but nutritionally my diet is really lacking.

Does anyone have any advice on this? What should I be eating? Should I come up with a scheduled menu (so I don't have to think and worry about what and when I am going to eat) and if so how do I do this?

Thank you, Karin

Hi Bluestbird,

I'm not a dietician, but I would guess that you could look up on line for information about a well balanced diet and what it should consist of.

For now I think you should plan a scheduled menu for yourself so that you plan ahead to make sure you have everything in the house that you need to make your meals.  Plus you will know ahead of time what you will be having.

Plan something for Breakfast, AM snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner and then a light PM snack.  I think once you plan a menu and see it daily, it will remind you to eat.  Try to put things on there that you remember that you liked to eat.  Maybe now would be a good time to be creative and try a new recipe.

Hope this helps you.

Keep us posted on how you do, okay? blush
