Hello from St. Pete Fl and a beautiful view from my porch.

My porch is my refuge. Sitting here each day, enjoying a fine cigar, and
keeping all of you updated on the very latest bipolar disorder news is
extremely therapeutic.

I am over 40, married for a third time, and diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder.

Presently I am occupationally-disabled and still ‘in the closet’ about
my disorder.

Where is the 'community' in that tone of yours.

Why do you get to have a signature? Mine is not spam or advertising. Its my personal website.

Archaic rule, exclusionary, dismissive, and totally unfriendly.

Hi Andrew,

I'm sorry you feel excluded. You're clearly a font of bipolar information. I enjoyed your site a lot. Unfortunately you have advertising on your website, so it's not just a "personal website," you have a vested interest. I'll let the Admin handle this one. If he says it's okay, I'll restore your signatures. We have too many people come through who simply want to promote other forums/blogs/etc. and not to participate in ours. You may not like the rules, but they're ours and we have to stick by them.

Yours,
serafena

Thanks for the reply. The advertising on my site earns me $1 every three days or so. I am disabled, so every little bit helps.

But the main point of my site is to fight bipolar stigma through education, and to provide a hub for people to start from, similar to matt Drudge and the drudgereport. It uses the same methodoogy that he employs, except it is 100% devoted to bipolar disorder. I am, after all, a news junkie and I have bp. So, I just married the two. I update it constantly.

If someone sees some Google adsense ads, so be it.

I invited Healing Well - bp forum on the site as well as the main healing well site. I have a list of bp sites as well as a list of forums. You have one of the better forums out there so I hope it continues to grow members.

In short, keep the spammers out, yes! However, keep fellow fighters in the struggle in!! ;)
Andrew

Until the administrator makes a decision, your signature as well as your member name are against the Forum Rules as Serafena has said.  You have a 'vested interest' in your website.

The Definition of Spam means Unsolicited Bulk Email.

Ok, I changed my username and my signature. Geez.

In my view, this board needs users who want to help. Pushing them away because they have a website is really counterproductive. You should want lots of users with limited controlling. You guys have maximum controlling. This will limit the number of users who want to come and help. Noone wants aggressive spoofers, spammers, or obnoxious shameless plugs, but they also don't want someone to limit their Internet freedom. If you do that, you get rid of not just the undesireables, but many others too.

Being so against advertising is a bit hypocritical considering I am frequenting your site and have advertising all in my face on this site. I may even choose to click on an ad, thereby creating revenue for you.

Why is that good for you but not for me? nono
