I am fairly new to the forums and was asked to introduce myself. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar I for 7 years now. My doctor and I are working carefully to a nice combo of lithium, abilify, and clonopin. I have taken lithium for 5 years now and it

has made the biggest impact in my treatment. Good to meet all you folks and thanks for having me.

Welcome Kaminari! I wish you didn't have to be here but I'm always happy to meet someone new. There is a wealth of information on these boards. I haven't been here long myself, but I have really found some useful things here. I'm glad your combo of meds has worked for you. Lithium was the first drug they put me on years ago. Apparently it wasn't a good choice for me. I put on 20 pounds of water weight in the first 2 weeks. It is a salt. (And I thought PMS was bad with water retention!) So, it's been an ever changing world of meds for me. I know that sooner or later I will find the right combo. Good luck to you!!
Major depression; Bipolar Disorder; Fibromyalgia; Spinal Stenosis; right arm and leg nerve compression; cataracts; glaucoma; IBS; RLS; hypothyroidism; B12 deficiency ... that's enough or I'll get more depressed.
