Kay,
You really need to talk to a professional.  Severe mood swings are a symptom of BP, but it could also be something else;  physical problem, anxiety, severe pms, etc.  Please atleast see a GP if a PDoc is not available.  This is a great forum to vent, get advice from people who are going through the same thing you are.  Maybe shift your focus from not worrying so much about a diagnosis carved in stone, but getting yourself feeling well.   I know how frustrating this can be, I suffer the same problems.  Mine is more anxiety/depression, these are also symptoms of BP.  I hope today finds you feeling better.
We are all here to listen, encourage and share our wealth of knowledge, or lack of it at times, ha ha.
Please go see a Dr., let us know how you are doing.  We all care.

Kay1111,

Gem has great advice for you. We make a point of not trying to diagnose anyone, but even so, with so little information it's impossible to know whether or not you're bipolar. The best thing you could do is to make an appointment with a psychiatrist and have an evaluation. Whether it's bipolar or not, you would get on the path to feeling better, which is the important thing.

Good luck,

Kay1111 - I hope you take the advice here to heart. It is so important to confirm your condition before you start medicating. Wrong medicines can hurt rather than help. There is no shame in anyone seeking professional advice to help them get to a better place inside. Once you take that first step, things will become more clear as to what you should do. Good luck.

Hi kandyman,

Welcome to the bipolar board. Why not start a new thread and tell us a little bit about yourself? We're always glad to have new faces.
