I have read that Bipolars experience more intense nightmares and dreams
than 'normies.'

Last night some demonic force tried to strangle me, bore into my chest with it's weight and throw me down on a concrete floor so hard that I lost conciousness. I have been scared all day even though I know it was 'just a dream.'

It was so real...

Anyone else have vivid nightmares or astral travelling, (out of body experiences)?

What a terrible dream! I'm so sorry.

The meds sometimes cause vivid and scary dreams. I've heard people complain of that. If it happens a lot, I'd talk to my doc about switching meds. Yikes!

My dreams mostly involve saving my kids from some danger.... sometimes I save them, and there are other time I don't get to them all.... I wake up with intense stress, fear and grief. I lay there and cry- even though I know it was just a dream it was so real in the dream and the emotions are intense. I sometims am compelled to get up and check on them in the dark. I never remember all of it- just bits and peices.
Even though I do not understand where I am going on the path that God has laid out for me, I must submit to His plan and trust that He will take me where I need to be.

I normally post in the anxiety/depression forums and just cam in to read a few posts. Sorry to hear you are having bad nightmares I can relate to that as I also get terrible nightmares which seem so real I often wake to a big panic attack drenched in sweat which is horrible and takes a while to realize its just a bad dream. I have had problems with this for a long time, My pdoc just put me on Seroquel (quetiapine) at 25mg with a view of increasing it over the next few weeks. I hope things start to improve for you and it seems you have some good support here from the members.

Take Care

Geesh!  Me too!

I've always been one to have very vivid nightmares!  I even wake the house up from screaming!!!  My dreams are sooo off the wall and very long and very detailed!!!  Very exhausting!!!  Somedays I am just so exhausted and can't wait to crawl into bed only to have a terrible, frustrating nightmare and wake up all frustrated and exhausted all over again! smhair
