Hi, just wanted to introduce myself, just found this forum and I'm holding onto it like a lifeline at the moment.  I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world who was diagnosed with BP a couple years back.  It was a major depressive episode that finally brought on the diagnosis. She was on meds that worked for a while, but then last March they just stopped. We've been tinkering with her meds ever since (she has regular sessions with a counselor as well).
I need to speak with my wife about this before I go further into our particular situation, but I just wanted to say hi and thank you all for being here.  I literally started crying with relief when I began reading through. I'm going to need lots of your help, and I probably wont be able to give any for a while (years perhaps) because I'm pretty sure I've been doing everything wrong.
Just...Hello, and thanks for being here.

Hi - welcome.  I'm sure serafena will share the link for family of BP.  But I'm thrilled to have you.  Reading what other friends/family say inspires me to take care of myself so my SO isn't affected by it.

Hi Khronos,

Indeed, thanks for joining. Good to have you. as tortoise suggested, here is the url where you can find links specifically for famly and friends of bipolar sufferers: If you page down, you'll find links to 3 forums particularly for family and friends. Our forum welcomes you, but know that we are specifically geared towards people suffering with the disorder, not their spouses or family members. You might feel more at home in one of the Family and Friends forums I've listed.

Thanks! and Good luck!
