Hi I'm Ellen. I've been busy in the ulcerative colitis forum and this is my first week posting in this forum.

Have any of you had experience with Geodon? I'm taking trileptal but it doesn't last long. Have to take it three times a day for anxiety and distraction. Am on Lamictal, which is working fine. Tried Zyprexa and put on 30 pounds which I actually needed because of an illness, but now I'm trying to lose about five. So Zyprexa is not for me. My psychiatrist said that Geodon had fewer side effects than Zyprexa and I might try it. I looked on mayoclinic.com and the side effects look horrible, albeit, weight gain wasn't one of them. Any thoughts?

Hi Ellen,

As you probably know, medications work differently on everyone.  I was on Geodon for a long time and it worked well until my body just got use to it.

Now I'm taking trileptal, Wellbutrin and xanax and have been having much success with it for quite a while now. I hope it stays with me for a long time.  I like it!

I hope you find a good cocktail for yourself! blush

that's what I was on before all this. Trileptal and wellbutrin plus lamictal. I'm on Trileptal and lamictal now. I'm going to ask her for wellbutrin.

how much trileptal are you taking and when are you taking it.

what is your sleep situation?

Hi. I just got prescribed this and Celexa. I do not have bipolar but have an unspecified mood disorder. The psychiatrist hasn't diagnosed me yet. Anyone else have input about this med??

My extreme fatigue is lessening slightly after 5 days on this. I didn't need an afternoon nap yesterday. Lol. I am drowsy today but am still functioning at work. I did have two cups of coffee which may be what's keeping me awake.

Has anyone else taken this?? I'm worried about the possible side effects of EPS and TD...those sound horrible...
