Hi and welcome :) I'm new too.
I don't know what sound issues you have, but I will tell you that I have some too :) I simply cannot handle noises that are repetitive. It doesn't even matter how loud or quiet they are. For example, my son loves McDonalds - what 7 yo doesn't? I dread going in there why? The fry machine. Do these people not hear the constant and seemingly never ending BEEEEEP going off? That's just one of many examples - I won't bore you with others. People at work also think I'm "quirky" (one actually calls me rainman lol) but it's all love.
Aspergers. I have 2 nephews who have been dx'd with it. I've also worked with many. In my former life I was a counselor of sorts, and my caseload included folks with Aspergers and other autistic diagnoses. People with Aspergers Syndrome tend to be really disconnected from other people. Very socially challenged, to put it mildly. They also tend to have one area of interest, skill, or obsession. Like math, or trains (in my nephew's case). These are all generalizations, mind you, and I am in no position to be diagnosing anyone with anything. Just sharing my experience. Don't know if that helps at all. If not, sorry for the long boring post!
Take care :)
