I've been on Lamictal, prozac, xanax and ambien. Still working my way up to a therapeutic dose on the Lamicital. I must say that for me at least it's apparently not working. My pdoc just took me off the prozac and put me back on pristiq. I'm praying once the Lamictal gets up to full dosage I'll start to feel some relief. But the prozac I can tell you didn't do squat for me. He's still playing darts with my meds though. trying to figure which one hits the mark. Sorry if this isn't the most helpful news I could give you.

I was on Lamictal and Wellbutrin for a while and that was good, but then I had a couple episodes of awful PMDD, and my depression just hung on from there (have I posted that before? my memory sucks) anyway, the depression just hung on, so my psych added the Prozac. It's only day 4, and I think it's working already, but that seems too soon to be in my system. Maybe it's having a placebo effect, but I'm not gonna argue, I feel great; actually feel like moving and being active besides just going to work and home.

Hi again Bundle,

Ah, meds. The wonderful world of meds. LOL

For me, I am BP type II, which means I deal with depression A LOT, hypomania and a lot of cycling. SO, I am not allowed to be on any anitdepressants (which really is awful when I'm fighting my long episodes of depression). Antidepressants can cause mania and cycling. I am always envious of those (which is almost everyone on this forum) who can take them. I feel I am one of the only ones on this site who doesn't take them...

Anyway, I hope it is a good cocktail for you.

Thanks guys for your input about my meds. I've been taking the Prozac now for a week, and I think that so far it is very effective, I can really tell a difference.  The big test will be in a couple of weeks with my PMDD.  Life is good.
