Nope!  I don't think I could.  The only people that don't know are my SO's family.  I would be fine if his mom never finds out!  shocked   LOL

My family knows for the most part. After I avoided everyone for almost a month and stayed in my bedroom for the greater part of it. I talk to them on a regular basis normally so they started to push their way in. At first I got the usual "everybody has it rough sometimes, you just have to suck it up" but once they saw first hand how bad it was they changed their tune. Now everyone is a little more aware of the difficulties I go thru, how hard I struggle to just breathe some days. I don't know if it will last but they suprised me.
I struggle with what to say to friends. A couple know but in general it's none of their business. I find that the few that know just want me to feel better but really what can anyone say?

Actually i am quite up front with my friends and my co workers. They all know what i suffer from and understand that there might be days i am a little hyper or a little blue its just me being me. I am to darn old to give a hot holy darn what someone thinks about me. One of the gifts of older age. LOL LOL LOL

Besides my real friends have stayed my friends.

My familly all know, But I do not tell friends which is for the most part is a mistake since over the years many people have dropped me as a friend, considering me too moody or too on again/off again in my relationships. I very rarely reveal to clients (I am a counselor) that I am BP unless for some reason, like they are BP, that my telling them I am BP will be helpful to their treatment.

Regrettably, I have told too many friends. My family knows, and that sucks. Contemplating telling my one boss (who I have become extremely close with, and who also is a psychiatrist herself)....wonder what you guys think about that???
