I would never say never, there are so many mysteries of the world, why cant this be one of them.

That said i do believe that God, Goddess, Budda, whoever has come into my life and granted me the peace to accept who and what i am. Thru that acceptance i have found this desease much easier to handle. Instead of screaming out ""Why me" or "It isnt fair" i have just decided to accept that i am BP, and will be for life. And that has made all the difference in my life.

To steal a little from AA "God grant me the ability to change what i cannot accept, accept what i cannot change, and the wisdom to know the differenence."

I am with Bill on this one - with one additional comment:

If you are in a period of remission, don't assume you are "cured" and stop self-care.  You could cause a nasty cycle if you are only in a remission.

I don't know about totally healed, but with time ( and for me a long time) there comes a kind of acceptance...I quit fighting it at every moment, raging mad that I was BP and it stole my life as I knew it away. Now the anger is gone....I often deal with a longing to be "normal" again and with it comes a bit of sadness, but I have accepted that I will not be healed or cured.

I feel for you.  That feeling that you are being consumed by BP/OCD is soooooo awful and I have had plenty of days like that.  I hate the thought that I am losing days of my oife to this being consumed.  Please hang in there...it always does get better .
