The best advice I can give you for this is to MOOD CHART!! You can find them online, and I prefer to print them out....I rapid cycle (mood changes in a day, or hour). It is so good to use when you do see a pdoc and the most excellent resource for yourself. I will post the one I use below (Hope that is okay???)
http://www.bipolar-lives.com/bipolar-mood-chart.html and I use chart link number 1.
It helps me figure out how I am following my med routine, marks my anixety, irritability....you can add notes about caffiene...you can look up other ones too.
Honestly, it only takes a few minutes each day to do this and being bipolar I feel it's so important to do it, because how many times do we see our pdocs and they ask us how many times in one week/day did you do/feel this??? How many doses of your med(s) have you missed? How many hours of sleep a night are you getting...etc....etc...I pull out my chart and answer all his questions; it is very very helpful to us both.
