Would being on bipolar meds make you act like you have alzheimers? Forgetting things, misplacing items, hard to talk - slurred speech and not getting the words out.
I think the bp is making him do really dumb things. I can't tell if it's from his meds, or maybe he is getting alzheimers already. He's 55.

My husband is taking Lamictal plus zanax, clonazapam, trazadone and temazapam. He was taking Lithium but got bad shakiness from that. Changed to Lamictal, but once he started on the generic, it went downhill. Now started back on the brand name.

That sounds more like side effects.  Possibly a drug interaction?  Don't forget to mention it to the Dr.!

I would start looking around on drugs.com.  You'll find better information about interactions there than from your Dr. or pharmacist.

Who knew that my migraines and fatigue were a result of Lamictal + Benadryl!  It wasn't in the pharmacy info, so I never thought of it.  Thankfully, Loratadine is OK with Lamictal.

If you lose your keys that doesn't mean you have alzheimers...if you stare
at the keys in your hand and don't know what they're for...you may have it.

He is only on 100mg of Lamictal. From what I read what everyone else's dosage here, he needs to be upped more.

red - sometimes it is like that. He's in a daze.

Will make sure the pdoc knows. His next appt is next week, but I will call to explain symptoms to him this week.
