My psychiatrist just put me on Invega within the last week. It comes in barrel-shaped pills (not capsules), 3 mg each, and he's having me split each pill in half. Invega is time-release, and I wonder if I'm getting the right amounts, given that there's no way I'm splitting these pills absolutely 100% correctly. But them's the doc's orders.

So far, the Invega has helped me sleep. I'd had bad insomnia, but that seems to have evaporated. Boy, has it evaporated! I fall asleep quickly, the alarm goes off, I turn it off, and I'm back to sleep again. (I'm currently unemployed, so that's not so bad, but I'm going back to school--grad school--in August, so I am feeling a tad worried.) I feel a bit dizzy and foggy for a while after getting up, but that dissipates after a while.

I realize I haven't been on Invega anywhere near long enough to feel a big difference. But I think I'm feeling a slight lightening of my mood.

Anyone have any experience with this drug?

Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.

Yours gratefully,
Havana
