I worry about you guys when I don't see you posting for a while.  So letting you know that I am going on vacation for a week.  Vacations are usually a big depression trigger for me, but I have a hypomania trigger (getting a new dog) the day after we get back.  So I might have a bad day, but it won't last and I won't do anything stupid when I have something like that to look forward to.

Don't worry about me.  :)

Thanks for the well wishes! I had a SURPRISE on vacation!

On Sunday evening, I was fishing off the dock up on my Grandma's island in Canada. My SO came down to the dock and after a while we sat down on the edge of his boat to was the full moon rising over the pine trees across the lake. He was smiling - he has something on his mind. He said, "My life hasn't been the same since I've met you." He got down on one knee on the dock and asked, "Will you marry me?" while slipping a diamond ring on my finger.

I said, "Yes!"

I did have a little bit of mood swings into depression, but having that ring reminding me of how much he lives me helped me through and I had a very good vacation anyway. I'm going to start catching up on what I missed, so please forgive me for hogging the board tonight! :)

TORTOISE!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I am thrilled for you!! What exciting and wonderful, happy news! Congratulations again and now you have a wedding to plan LOL! Yay!

I was thinking of you this week hoping you were having a great time, in my country! Haha! We've had amazing weather here all week. I spent all day outside yesterday and we had a blast riding roller coasters and getting away earlier in the week.

I'm so glad you had such a great time and of course you battled through the mood swings!

Also glad you're back on the board! Yay!

I am posting my update now....

Talk soon,

LOL. Wedding planning freaks me out. I was married in 2003 (I was barely 19!) and planning a wedding in 6 weeks was a hypomanic disaster. LOL Depression hit 3 days before and the irritability and physical effects hit just in time for a honeymoon that we ended up skipping. The marraige was equally disastrous.

So I don't care if it takes forever to plan. I refuse to stress out about it. I'm not going to plan a show-off wedding that makes for a miserable day for me! I want to enjoy the day!

Where were you? I was 20 km south of Kenora (Ontario). My grandma has an island in Lake of the Woods.
