moving into my dorm room for my sophomore year at college. i meet my new roommate tomorrow. the first thing she said to me when she added me on facebook was 'i'm so glad you're normal i was worried they would randomly assign me some crazy person!!"

well.. we all know how crazy we can get some times.... guess i'm just a little more nervous. my last roommate was there 3 nights a week and the rest of the nights i probably stayed up all night crying so i'm worried that my new roommate (who says she'll be there every night all year pretty much) is going to see some pretty heavy stuff.. i'm full of nerves right now. i see my psychiatrist on monday, i really need some anxiety medication. ever since my boyfriend and i's condom accident i've been worrying non stop that i'm pregnant and i can barely even kiss him now i'm so freaked out about everything.

voix - I thought you did get morning-after in time? Did I mess something?

If your roommate bails, you get a private room! lol. Not your problem.

Hang in there. Just don't give her too much information until you know her well. I have a tendency to tell people too much about my issues and then they are scared off form the begining. I guess i am saving myself the embarrassment of freaking out infront of them by scaring them off to begin with. Laugh.
Just because your in the same room doesn't mean you have to be close either. If you have good friend on campus maybe you could got to her room when you are having a bad time.

they assign you a new roommate if the old one bails, no one is allowed a single room. i did get the morning after in time but it's not 100% effective and i worry A LOT.
