Oh Pumpkin! I am sooooo sorry!!!! I just was talking to you hoping that u were busy vs not feeling well. I guess I overlooked your thread. Dana, I am sure u have already told me this, but since I am Epileptic, I have a VERY BAD short term memory. Did/have u been dx as BiPolar? If so, by your doc or a pdoc? And what meds are u on (if u dont mind me asking). We (Shannon aka psychnurse and my husband an ER Doc) are trying do figure if I do indeed have Bipolar, or have severe depression w/anxiety and panic disorders. As u know Kittykat and psychnurse are the experts (at least in my opinion). But I am happy I found a pdoc and got in for Sept. 7...$350 is the cost for my initial appt. That seems steep to me, but what do I know. So, if u dont mind, cn u please give me a heads up of your diagnosis, what meds u take etc. I would be a big help. Dana..I am not, I repeat not telling what to do, as I do the same thing....but baby when u r dispressed or freaking, THAT IS THE BEST TIME TO POST. Cuz u know we will always do r best to make u feel better. Keep up the good work. LLooking forward to hearing back from u....KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!

Much love,
Patti

Hi, Dana!  I'm so glad you're posting today, you know we worry when one of us doesn't post and doesn't tell us they aren't going to for a few days for whatever reason.  Like Pats said, you need us most when you're down.  I also understand what it's like when we're depressed, it's almost impossible to even speak, much less type.  At least it is for me, I can't speak to anyone.  I don't want to bring anyone else down, but you know, this IS a support forum, duh!

Did anything influence you feeling better, or the usual change in the brain?

Thank you both,

I upped my zoloft, and I think just time. I started making myself do things, which helped a little. I am still depressed, but not in utter despair like I was.

and Patti to answer your questions, I've been diagnosed as bipolar II by a pdoc. I often question the diagnosis, but I talked about this with my therapist. And since bipolar disorder encompasses such a large range of emotional instability I'm okay with the bipolar II diagnosis. And Lamictal helps me SO much. (when I'm on it)

I talked to my psychiatrist, who with my latest depression would like to see me back on the lamictal. Which I said no. While I'm trying to conceive.

I also have lupus, which is flaring. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether my sleeping all the time is depression or lupus, which I am utterly ehausted with. And then I fell Sunday ( my legs just seemed to collapse underneath me ) so now I'm sore. And hoping that just random fall was nothing more than a fluke.

But thank you both. And I will be more active I promise!!!!!!

Lots of Love,

Dana

Dana, I missed your post , sorry. I am glad to see you are back with us. I was wondering what was going on with you.i hope your fall wasn't that bad. sad For me when I am depressed , I can't seem to keep a normal sleep schedule either, however I don't mind sleeping because I get tired of being awake with the depression. Does that make sense? Anyways, when your down try and post, it seems to help me. Although I am a rapid cycler, so one minute I am fine the next is whoa! Sending you: ((((((((((((((  better days))))))))))))))))
