devil  That's me........do you suppose that saying was designed for we BP's that don't sleep at night. I'm up to 3 nights of no genuine sleep or rest now. I think the dam will break if I don't get some rest tonight though!!! Getting a little edgy-er and a whole lot more depressed. My coping skills are falling away in epic proportions now!! We'll see. I get to spend my day with both new and old bosses today.......oh lord!!! As always thanks for listening.

Not sleeping stinks! I've done it off and on for weeks now. Last night I had some kind of breakthrough though. Went to bed a little after 11 and slept until my 13 year old woke me up at 6 needing money for school. Thats truly probably the most i've slept in one shot in a month.
Have you talked you your dr? Maybe he can give you something to help. It can't be fun to be running on no sleep and then having to get up and go to work. It's one thing to be on that hyper/exhausted line but to have to deal with it in the workplace....yuck. I'm not much of a people person when I feel like that. Good thing I'm at home dealing with little people.
Hope you manage to get some rest soon

Hey Sandra,

Have you talked to your doc about the sleeplessness? Mine prescribed Zopiclone to help and it was a god send for me. It worked when nothing non-prescription would (and I tried it all). I'm not sure if there are circumstances when its inappropriate for people with BP to take, but its helped several close family members (non-BP). Its not habit forming but leaves an awful taste.

Hope that you find some repreive soon,

Putter

Thanks Putter, I have prescription sleep medication, it's just not working. Yes, I've called my pdoc for it.

Sandra - I'm so sorry to hear that you're in such a spot. Hopefully you'll find something to take the edge off soon. My thoughts are with you - not being able to sleep is as awful as needing too much.

Take care as best you can,

Putter

Hi, Sandy, I see you were up wayyyyyyy past your bedtime!   If you don't get a nights sleep you're going to get bad, just like you said.   Did you double up on your Ambien?    It probably doesn't matter anyway, a 2.6 hour half life isn't going to help much.

If it were me, I would call him AGAIN today and tell him you slept all of two hours, and you are hearing things and your starting to get hypo.   Maybe that will do it!   Maybe you already are, no sense in waiting until you do and can't do your job and end up in the hospital just becuase the guy won't listen!!!!!!! mad I can't believe he took you off your Seroquel!!!!!!

Variety is the spice of life, BP is the key
