Hello to all !!! I have not left the board , just taking a break. I wanted to let ya know i am still reading the posts and when I get the chance will post some. I have been stable for a little while now, and am enjoying the fact that my meds work , side effects gone( didn't have many from this set), and I am feeling normal. Geez... feels like an eternity, but still I wonder did I ever feel normal? Anyways no time to worry , always living in the present.I feel like since i have combined a few herbal ( all legal lol) remedies to my actual meds , I feel fantastic. Stress has lifted and I have an overwhelming sense of peace. Alot has happened this year, family members and friends taken away........but still yet, I seem to manage. Someone once said, he only gives you what you can handle, WOW , I am able!!!! So I hope everyone is doing well, if not remember it will lift, try to get through it. I wish the best to all, Shannon and Sandy, miss you guys. Take care, Nickie

I'm so glad you're still doing great!  See, if you perservere with adding/upping/changing meds, and I know you frequently talk to your doc, you WILL find stability and peace.   Just goes to show.   My period of lack of sleep is over, my energy back on track.  We tried a few things, but this last try was the key.  Yesterday I cleaned an entire house!!!!!!  That's a lot here!  Plus, worked out until sweat pouring down (haven't been able to do that in about 2 months), shopped, cooked a fab dinner and had a really nice eve with the hubby, too.  devil

So far today I feel good, have already accomplished some other things.  I sure hope the energy doesn't give out later, lol.  Now this is really ME.   Oh, and not hypo, either.  Stable, but energetic and ambitious.

Nick, when you say the stress has lifted, I was under the impression school was kind of peaking in stress?  Curious, what herbs are you taking?   I'm really not a fan of them, but I am curious.  I hope not St. Johns Wort!

Anyway, great to see you back even tho you're busy.  Have a great day!

Shannon

Here's the deal with the stress Shannon. I stick 12-15 hours of my own time in open lab , plus the 2 mandatory hours. It really makes it become second nature with all the practice I am doing. I can give a cath. blind folded. lol That's so not all we do, but a for instance. It's the amount of time we have to have everything ready. Today my instructor had me instruct fellow classmates. She said I know you can do all that... hmm... trust?! I feel the stress is lifting that way, the more you do things , the better you become. Tis sad because I have to sacrfice my home life from 4 weeks ago , and four more weeks. December 13 is Mock surgery... still nervous, but don't want to create what I fear, failure. I am just really determined and ready to give 150%.So happy I found a career I will love. Although it took me 3 times to figure it out. I mean I switched majors that many times. Well worth it. Thanks for asking Sandy, my grades are great , almost a 4.0, but after this second part of physics, well it might slip a little. It is sooooooooooooooooo boring. How the heck are you feeling these days? I seen a post but didn't read it yet, about your son, is he doing ok? That must be hard to go through. I wish I could talk to you guys more, but hey in a few more weeks I will be able to . Yeah!!!  Shannon your silly, not taking herbals for BP, for realxing.  Actually here's the vitamins and such I take: calcium, iron, fish oil, Vit. E and C, and I think that's it. To study and relax, i use lemon or pine oil and diffuse it. I also use tons of lavender. It's even in my car. That's ultimately what I met, sorry for the confusion. I was starting to get a little hypo one day and my Mom said try these to calm down. It really works for me because I am so hyper. I have a hard time meditating , but need too. Also wanted to let ya know my friend died of cancer Monday, if i didn't already tell ya. It was so sudden and fast. Today is the showing and tomorrow is the funeral. It really has been a bad year for me... but I am gonna get through this. I have no choice. Thanks for responding and i sincerely miss you guys. Look for me around oh say... December 14.... Will talk before then . Shannon glad to hear you are doing better. Geez.. fels like awhile huh? ! Talk soon, Nickie

Oh, man, you are really burning the midnight oil!  (literally with the scents???)  It will pay off big time, a great idea, you will do perfectly and blow everybody away.  Apparently, you already do!   Teaching fellow students!  What the hell are you worried about, you should have NO stress in that dept now lol.

Well I hope if you ever have to cath me, you will be awake!!!!! confused

I do love lavender, used to use it alot for relaxing during meditation,  I used to do TM every single night, even when I was manic, now that's a feat, lol!  It did help with stress immensely.

I am so sorry about your friend.  At least she didn't have to suffer too long, that is a horrible way to die.  You know, they say people die in 3s, that's 3 for you this year, isn't it?  My sympathies are with you, sweetie.

Yeah, it's been a while to feel better; I'm still good today, but not as good as yesterday.   But the cool thing is usually if I have a REALLY good day, the next day is ****.  That didn't happen!!!! :-)

Well, I miss you tons and wish you that 4.0 at least on the mock surgery, that's what your fear is, you'll do fine.  You are facing and conquering it, you're a very strong person, Nick, and determined as hell!  You go girl! yeah    I'll look forward to Dec. 15, lol.

Take care!

Shannon
