This is my first post. I have bipolar disorder. I am on lithium, for emotional balance between the mania and the depression. I am on the anti-depressant called Mirtazapine to help with my depression. It took a number of years to get on what I believe is the right medicine.
I'm interested in photography and writing. As a senior citizen, I have been through what a lot of people may be talked about here, and have tried some things that worked and some which didn't.
I enjoy trying to help people and find, for one thing, it gets my psychic energy from going inside and worrying about myself, to going outside and worrying about other people's problems, which is a big boost to me right there.
Since I first saw it in high school, one of my favorite sayings is, "I shall walk through this world but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do, let me to it now, let me not defer to neglect it, for I shall nor pass this way again."
I think these types of forums can be very helpful, for many such people, myself included, can tend to be isolated, and thereby kept away from new information. Such a website allows a person to get new info even though in an isolated situation.
