hello everyone..... just wanted to say I NEED MY LEXAPRO! I began taking it a couple of weeks ago to tip off this depression, but my hubby didnt think I should be taking it bc of the run in we had with the last antidepressant I took (left me manic). But, I am comfortable on the dosage of Risperdal I am taking that is controlling my mania, and I am on a low dose of Wellbutrin.... but since the Ripserdal has wiped out my Serotonin, I am experiencing some heart wrenching depression. How can I convince my hubby that I need the Lexapro???  I am slowly slipping back into that state where nothing affects me..... feeling void and lonely...and finding myself just sitting and crying for no reason.

Dunno what else to do......   sad

If your pdoc prescribed it, then obviously he thinks you need it. I understand your husband's reluctance, but I think the pdoc knows what he's doing. Perhaps you could give it a trial run and see. Depression is miserable and it can be dangerous. You don't want to let this get out of hand. You have to do whats best for YOU.
Take care Kmber

Good judgement comes from experience and alot of that comes from bad judgement.

thanks ellie for replying :) After my post, hubby and I had a heart to heart and he realized that I needed to continue on the Lexapro. My pdoc has gotten me this far with success and meds... and there is no reason that we should begin doubting his judgement now :) Its all hit and miss when it comes to the meds. again... thanks!! :)
