gaz,

by definition, none of us here is "normal."  but, then again normal is boring. :-)

seriously, though, it is unusual for depression to ease up at night.  depression usually gets worse at night (mine certainly does).  it could be that some environmental factor(s) during the day trigger your depression and then, as night comes on, those factors dissappear.

i asm not a pdoc, so i'm only able to give you my educated opinion.  i ope it helps and gives you something to think about.

best of luck

Hi Gaz,

People do tend to have certain times of the day when they feel better/worse. I tend to be a morning and night panicker, with a breather in the afternoon!

Warren's suggestion about the environmantal factors is a good one. I know these are part of my swings with panic -- the night ones are to do with worry about everything I didn't do that day! Have a chat with your pdoc -- there might be something you could do with re-timing your med intake to help lessen this effect.

Take care,

Rosie x
