driving me crazy

  first i want to make sure the everyone knows this first : i have not been diagnosed with bipolar.
with that said here is my deal. i have suffered with depression but before christmas i hit what i called a mania state. i didn't sleep much and i was on the go constantly which is not like me becasue i have social anxiety.
anyway here is what is driving me crazy : i have been up for 36 straight hours. sinice 1:00 pm yesterday. i am finally getting a little tired but would much rather sleep but can't. i have a doc. appt. jan. 23rd.
so can anyone suggest some help with getting some sleep.
my body si so tired but my mind won't let it stop. it is always something that i need to do or could be doing until i crash and then i cry and am depressed again
please help me

Hey there.. have you tried chamomille teas? Or valerian? It is an herb you can get at GNC and it helps to induce sleep... I know there is a sleepytime tea out there that has valerian in it.. Or have you maybe tried some of the OTC sleep aids? Tylenol puts out a sleeping pill that is different from tylenol PM... let us know what you decide and how you are doing...

thanks for the information. i just thought about it after i posted. i hadn't taken my seroquel the night befor and when i do not take it i don't sleep for over 24 hours and then when i do take it the next night it takes it a whiile to slow me down.

however i am hoping to come off the seroquel so i may need those suggestions to make me sleep
