Hi
I'm taking topomax only, up to 100 mg after a slow build up.  I don't think I'm experiencing any kind of improvement and its been 6 weeks.  Can anyone tell me if the effects are should be noticible mood wise?  I know its a stabilizer but I was hoping for a bit of an improvement in my mood.
I have had no luck with antidepressants in the past (zoloft, prosac, celexa) so I guess my doc is just trying this for now.  Sure would like to feel better.
My symptoms are presently showing up as social anxiety, agoriphobia, fatigue and overall blahness.  I need to get a job but I'm afraid, I need to go to the doctors but the receptionist is a scary *****, that kind of thing.
Thanks in advance

I know most of my meds took almost 2months before I realized they were working. I think if you don't notice any change at all talk to your doc about. sorry couldn't help out any more. :(
Are you having a good day :) or a bad day :(
Either which way glad to meet you. :D

Hi there , welcome to our Healing Well family pufufada :-)

From what I've read it seems you should have noticed something by now , so I would speak to your doc - he might increase your dose again. Some people do great on just 25mg a day , but others need to take up to 400mg to feel any effect , so don't give up on this drug yet - it might be that it needs tweaking.

Let us now how you get on ,

Take care ,

Smiler tongue
