I went to see my pdoc and she said that my tiredness was caused by the depokate, however when I went to the doc the prescribed the depokate, she didn't really say much except that I gained weight. I'm currently taking 500mg, she gave me permissison to reduce it down to 250mg, but I'm not sure if I should or not. Things are working out great, I'm just really tired at work. Any Advice?
Are you having a good day :) or a bad day :(

Depakote made me so tired, I could not function. I felt like I was dragging my butt through deep water ALL THE TIME. I got off that and felt better in about a week.

If you are getting way too tired and quickly, you need a different medication. Depakote isn't the only thing ou there, after all. Weight gain is something I hear a lot about with Depakote, but I thin doctor's poo poo this and they shouldn't. Most doctors will tell you, they'd rather see you grossly obese and sane, than thin in the mental ward. It is like COME ON DOC! We can work together to find something that will work better.

*smiles* I agree with you. I go back to see the doc about the meds in two months with taking the lower dose, I take it for headaches and for that reason alone it works. Thank you for helping out.
