Hi, I am new to site. My husband was diagnosed with bipolar disorder late last year. There have been some close calls. He is on meds and at the moment is doing better since he is trying to quit selt-medicating. I stay stressed and hate to get out of bed some days not knowing how his day is going to be. I am looking to communicate with someone in the same situation.

It's me again. The best thing your husband can to is to educate himself on the symtoms and meds that you are taking. Also it helps if he goes to the dr. with you when possible. At first my husband wanted to shut me out. Of course I tell the dr. everything that is going on at the time  where as hubby leaves some things out. Now he asks me to go with him  I still have times I get mad and angry at him but I have to stop and realize alot of his actions are not him ,it is the  illness.  If you wish to relate any of this to your husband feel free. It really helps communicating with people who actually know what you are going through.
It is Friday now and I am off work til Dunday night so I hope you all have a good weekend.
