Hey Guys,

So today was a crazy day....

Need to explain first...Back in December, I finally left my stressful job in a call centre (my 3rd call centre in 3 years) b/c of my illness, with the support of my pdoc.  I was on sick benefits from the government for 12 weeks, and I have been busy since (April) applying for funding from the government to go back to school to be a Medical Office Assistant.  I am no longer able to work in ANY customer service or sales job, and need to go back to school so I can have a new career.

It has been a huge, and tiring application process, and TODAY...I handed the whole big package in to my case worker, and now I will be awaiting the decision (whether or not the gov't will fund me to go back to school) for the next 4 weeks, give or take.

So, I'm asking all of you to send some positive energy my way and hopefully I can begin my NEW path to my NEW life.

I will let you all know how it turns out.  Thanks bunches.

Take care :-)

Mogs

You have been so quick to offer my husband, me, and the girls your words and thoughts of encouragement. I don't know you, but I am thankful for you. It feels good to share with people that understand these kinds of situations, and are only there to offer up encouragement without judgement. I truly wish you all the best. Let us know as soon as you hear anything about the funding. You are taking positive steps to improve your life...BRAVO!

I quite my job in early May ( for obvious reasons) and am taking some time off while I get adjusted to meds and start feeling stronger in myself again. However I also have hopes to get training in the fall again as well. I feel like since I have freed myself of all the garbage in my life, that I really do have a chance at a new beginning...It's not too late for that in your mid-30's is it? I want it and that is my goal.

take care of yourself

Dutchie,

Thanks for your post, and support.  It's so touching to feel so appreciated.  I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this forum is.  I have found so much help here.  It is SO important to have a place to go to where there is no judgement, like you said.

It feels great to me, to be starting a new path in my life, and I know that's what you are trying to do as well, and I know you can do it.  It's really smart and good that you are taking a break from work, especially with starting meds.  They can be really hard.  You are having a really positive, focused outlook on things, which is very healthy.  I know that's not the case 24/7, and there is a lot to sort through, the guilt etc.  But I have faith that you will get there.

I will be sure to let you know about my funding, when I know...And it would be great if you get training in the fall, when you are ready.  It's definitely not too late, not even close.  You can acheive your goal. :-)

You take care too, so glad you found HW.

Dear Mogs,

Hi there, I am Kitt and I read your post and wanted to send you good vibes so here you go (((((((((((((((VIBES)))))))))))))))))) many and many just for you.

I went back to school and got my nursing degree, RN, with four children at home and worked every other week end.  Toward the end I had to use a few sick days as I was getting overwhelmed but I made it.

I hope you get your funding as you so deserve it to start a new career.

Yours posts are warm and gentle, yet wise.

I will be looking for your answer to the funding.  yeah

Kitt
