Well I finally did it. Just 2 minutes ago. Now I'm freaking out inside. I hope I don't regret this.

I bought a pill splitter like my pdoc recommended, and split the 25mg in half. So I just took the 12.5mg.

And here comes the freaking panic attack. Hopefully the seroquel kicks in and It goes away soon.

Hi Zomese

Well done!! I am sure you are going to be fine. It will take a while to kick in I think but then I am sure you will be okay.

This will hopefully make you chuckle for a minute and take your mind off the anxiety. My hubbie was told by his Psych to double his dosage for Lexapro 3 weeks ago and gave him a new prescription. So without paying too close attention I went and got the new pills and started giving him 2 instead of 1 tablets each morning.

Unfortunately, unknown to us what that the doc had actually increased the size of the pills on the new script and not mentioned it to him so for the past 3 weeks he has been taking 400% more than his original dose!! Whoops!! He said that he had been feeling a bit queasy for the past couple of weeks and now we know why. I had actually had a passing thought that the pills seemed larger but because I had no comparison from his old pack couldn't check so didn't think anymore of it.

He is fine and the doc said it wouldn't have had an adverse effect. I will be looking very closely in future.

Let us know how you get on with the Seroquel.

Honey Bee :-)

Hi Zomese,

I am so proud of you for taking your Seroquel.  Hopefully it went okay for you; you got some rest and are feeling good today.

Hey everyone. My panic attack only lasted for about 30 minutes. Once I realized I wasn't going to die I was fine. Then I was in a very good mood. I'm not sure if it was the medicine or the fact that I dont have that hanging over me anymore. I've had the prescription since June 1st, just staring at the prescription bottle for 3 months.

It feels so good to have that first dose done & over with. I woke up a million times last night though. So maybe the 12.5mg wasn't enought to cut through all of my anxiety and keep me asleep. So next time I will take a full 25mg and see how that goes.

I will try 25mg next week, or over the weekend. I have to be up early the next 2 days for work.

Oddly enough my headache is gone. I woke up still in a good mood. No anxiety todday, which is a relief because the past two days were really bad.

Zomese, good for you for facing the fear and making a CONSCIENCE choice to OVER RIDE IT! Keep it up and realized that your sense of reasoning IS stronger than your fears. Hopefully next time you will get through the staring at the bottle for mere minutes vs. months. You go girl! LFW

I take 25 and sleep through the night with no hangover feeling the next day at all. Of course I drink ALOT of coffee too, it might make a difference. The best thing I've found with Seroquel is that I don't dream, so no night terrors.
Good judgement comes from experience and alot of that comes from bad judgement.
